A juxtaposition of Found Objects - 19 th century teak chair legs, vintage suitcase and Farmer Brown’s eggs. The humanistic qualities of these found objects led to the creationg of ‘THE DEMOCRATIC CHAIR’. An exhibition piece created to convey the fragility of democracy. Hopefully stoking a voyeuristic infatuation between democracy and Farmer Brown’s eggs. You see, as in true democratic faith, one may sit on THE DEMOCRATIC CHAIR, eggs remaining uncrushed thereafter. One may also pack up the chair into the suitcase, carry it to wherever they would like to re-assemble.
